The young man that robbed a store and caused a lockdown was arraigned today.
The incident occurred yesterday in Mission.
The robbery happened at a restaurant located near the intersection of 16th and Conway in the northern part of the city.
The mother of the 19-year-old suspect tells FOX 2 NEWS that the suspect was under the influence brought on by an episode of depression.
Authorities say that Perez used a toy gun in the incident.
Nevertheless, that does not lessen the penalty of the crime committed.
The lockdown lasted less than an hour.
No injuries were reported.
