Lockdown Suspect Arraignment

The young man that robbed a store and caused a lockdown was arraigned today.

The incident occurred yesterday in Mission.

The robbery happened at a restaurant located near the intersection of 16th and Conway in the northern part of the city.

The mother of the 19-year-old suspect tells FOX 2 NEWS that the suspect was under the influence brought on by an episode of depression.

Authorities say that Perez used a toy gun in the incident.

Nevertheless, that does not lessen the penalty of the crime committed.

The lockdown lasted less than an hour.

No injuries were reported.
