A reported average of 100 monthly cases are processed by consular authorities every month in the city of Brownsville alone. Authorities say that the number of minors that are committing federal crimes is steadily growing. The Mexican consulate is aware of the growing trend, but says that U.S. courts are becoming more stringent making it more difficult to defend the innocence that is preyed upon by criminal organizations.
