Police Investigate Drive By Shooting

In Pharr, an armed home invasion investigation has a twist.

Two residents went from being victims to suspects, last night.

It happened on the 5400 block of Gumwood at around 10 p.m.

Authorities say four male suspects forced their way into a home, demanding money.

As they left, they fired at vehicles in the area, hitting one.

Nobody was injured by the gunfire, but the homeowner was allegedly assaulted.

Authorities say he suffered non-life threatening injuries.

We’re told as officers were speaking with the family, they found 23 lbs. of marijuana inside.

Deszi Zamarripa who is 24 years old and 20-year-old Matthew Zamarripa were placed under arrest.

Investigators are still looking for the home invasion suspects, believed to have fled in a blue or black Chevy Cavalier.
