Sheriff’s Deputies Investigate Possible Homicide in Hidalgo County

Hidalgo County Sheriff’s are investigating a homicide this evening.

We’re told a man in his 20′s was found with multiple gunshot wounds near a canal off doffing road and mile 3, near Katrina St., at around 5:15 p.m.

Sheriff Guadalupe “Lupe” Treviño stopped by our station to give us the latest details.

Treviño went on to add that they have very strong leads to make an arrest and that this is the 20th homicide this year in Hidalgo County.
