Rio Grande Valley Remembers Pearl Harbor Attack

Today marks the 71st Anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor.
That’s the day the Japanese bombed the U.S. and kick-started America’s involvement in world war two. More than 2,400 Americans died on that fateful day.
Here in the Rio Grande Valley, the Veterans War Memorial of Texas remembered those lost.
Today’s event in McAllen, included a speaker who is a world war two submariner, as well as a Pearl Harbor Survivor.
There was also a rose ceremony to dedicate four valley fallen soldiers who lost their lives in Afghanistan.
