Cyclist Loses Leg in Weslaco Crash, Driver at Large

A cyclist’s life has been changed forever, following a hit-and-run crash last night and the driver is still at large.

Department of Public Safety says that doctors had to amputate the 63-year-old man ‘s leg. The Edinburg Resident, whose identity is being withheld, was traveling in Weslaco on Rogers Road, near Hoehn Road at around 7 p.m. last night, when a vehicle hit him.

That driver fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call DPS at 956-565-7600.
