Armed Robbery at McAllen IBC Bank

Police received calls about an armed robbery at the IBC Bank in the Palms Crossing Plaza on Ware Road in McAllen this afternoon.

We’re told the suspect was disguised when he entered the bank on Expressway 83 and 29th Street at around 5 p.m.. The man slipped a note to the teller, making off with $50,000.

The suspect fled the scene and is currently at large. Authorities say they found a wig, believed to have been used as part of the disguise, at a nearby location.

Nobody was injured. Anyone with information is asked to call crime stoppers at 956-687-8477.
