Hidalgo ISD Voter Election Error

Hidalgo County Election officials confirmed an error in the Hidalgo Independent School District Elections this past 6th of November, some illegal votes could have actually been counted.

According to Hidalgo County Elections Administrator, Yvonne Ramon, the erroneous maps, allowed residents of Precinct 63, to vote in the Hidalgo Independent School District’s Election, that actually belong to Sharyland ISD.

Ramon says the elections department does not create the maps, they are currently researching the root of the problem.

Six seats for school board trustee were in play in the November Election. Attorney Ricardo Gonzalez, represents three of the candidates. He says that the 61 vote difference, could actually declare one his clients, who originally lost a winner.

This is an ongoing process, it is of course to soon to tell if in fact there will be another make up election. It will be up to a district judge to determine that.
