La Grulla Student to be Charged in Stabbing of Classmate

According to the Rio Grande City School District, the 8th grade boy stabbed another student following an altercation in a classroom at around 2 p.m.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, and was released a short time later. School officials say it was an isolated incident, and remains under investigation.
The boy has been suspended, authorities say aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges are pending.
