5 Detained on Kidnapping Charges

McAllen police say they allegedly kidnapped a 19-year-old at gunpoint earlier this week.
Authorities say the victim was forced out of his vehicle Tuesday afternoon at the 700 block West Jackson Road. The victim, we’re told resides in the City of Roma.
His family received a call Wednesday asking for ransom.
The five suspects were arrested yesterday by McAllen police investigators.
The victim was released Thursday afternoon near 281 and 107 in rural Hidalgo County.
He was not injured.
Police are looking for more suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call 956-687-TIPS (8477).
