Restoration Project for Resacas in Brownsville

Brownsville’s Resacas provide both water for its residents, and a home to a diverse wildlife population. The restoration project is aimed to save resacas from threats, such as pollution and invasive species that hinder the development of the ecosystem.
The first stage began at the resaca next to Palm Boulevard. This particular resaca is considered to be in dire state. Results to evaluate a plan of action will be ready for review in the coming months.
