New Lawsuit Filed Over Cross-Border Shooting

Foxrio2.com is not responsible for any misunderstanding.A new lawsuit has been filed against the federal government over the cross-border shooting death of a mexican immigrants allegedly killed by a border patrol agent.
Juan Pablo Pérez-Santillan, was shot and killed in July on the border by Rio Bravo, between Brownsville and Matamoros.
Authorities on the U.S. side ,say the agent opened fire in self defense and that it’s unclear if the bullets made contact.
However a lawyer on behalf of the Santillan family, says it was an excessive use of force.
Perez-Santillan’s family is asking for an unspecified amount of damages.
A hearing is scheduled in february.
