4th Suspect Under Arrest in UTPA Kidnapping

Another development in the kidnapping case of a UTPA Student on campus last month. A fourth person is under arrest for their alleged role.

Elsa Navarro, 36 years old, was arraigned this afternoon. She is accused of helping transporting the victim during the alleged kidnapping. Bond was issued at $500,000.

On September 25th, witnesses reported a female student being kidnapped from a parking lot of the UTPA campus. We’re told the motive was for money.

The student, whose identity is being withheld, was returned safely to her family a little over a day later, without the payment of ransom.

Additional court dates for the four suspects are expected in the coming days.
