The Cosmetology Department at Juarez-Lincoln High School in La Joya locked in on some love today.
It was a hair raising experience for many as dozens of students donated 10 inch long braids of hair for the nonprofit organization known as locks of love.
The donated hair is used to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by locks of love have lost their hair due to medical conditions.
The prostheses provided help to restore the children’s self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their illnesses.
