A routine traffic stop in the city of Palmview quickly turned into a high-speed pursuit. Four people are now under arrest, believed to be members of organized crime in Mexico.

Carlos Alberto Oceguera Guzman, 28 years old, Miguel Ángel Torres, 24 years old, Jonathan Rocha, 26 years old, and José Miguel Mendoza, 23 years old, faced a judge today.

Authorities say they led police on a pursuit last night at around 11p.m., before losing control of their vehicle and crashing in a cornfield in Mission.

That’s when police say they found firearms, tactical vests, ski masks, as well as a fake special agent badge. They believe the suspects have ties to organized crime across the border.

Investigators went on to add that three of the four suspects are Mexican Nationals. All four are facing charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm and evading arrest.
