Hidalgo Co. Deputy Arrested for Buying Drugs

Foxrio2.com is not responsible for any misunderstanding.A Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Deputy finds himself on the other side of the law, after allegedly being caught red-handed in the middle of a drug deal last night.
In a statement released by Sheriff Guadalupe “Lupe” Trevino, Deputy Albert Cortez was off duty when he attempted to buy 2 grams of cocaine in the parking lot of an Aziz Convenience Store, off FM 495 and Cesar Chavez in the City of Alamo, at around 1 a.m.
Cortez was arrested and arraigned this morning and was terminated shortly after.
