An Alamo neighborhood is shaken up, following a shooting that injured a teenage boy this weekend.
Hidalgo County Sheriff’s say it happened shortly after midnight Sunday, on the 300 block of San Angelo Street, in an area known as Mexico Chiquito. A car drove down the street, and opened fire.
A 13-year-old boy was shot once in the sach and was taken to the hospital. He was released later that day. Investigators say the victim is not involved in organized crime.
Authorities arrested the alleged driver behind the shooting, whom they say is also the gunman. His arraignment is pending.
