Update: 2nd Arrest in Kidnapping of UTPA Student

Another arrest has been made in the kidnapping of a UTPA student and we now have a photo of the final suspect still at large.

UTPA Police arrested a 20-year-old Pharr man this morning. His identity is being withheld pending his arraignment. He is expected to be charged with aggravated kidnapping orrow.

This is the second arrest, earlier this week, Miguel Angel Navarro, 35 years old, was arrested and charged. Investigators say on September 25th, three men kidnapped a female student on campus. She was released unharmed a day later. Her identity has not been released for her protection.

Authorities are still looking for the third suspect, Onan Herrera-Sanchez, 28 years old, also known as Frank Omar Landerverde.

He is described as 6-feet tall, over 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 956-665-7151.
