Body Found in Laguna Vista Bay Waters

A body was pulled from the bay near Laguna Vista this morning; making this the third time a body has been pulled from Cameron County waters in less than two weeks. Although an eerie trend, county officials are saying they are not related.

Authorities identified the man as Michael McPeak, 65 years old, from Denton, Texas.

This discovery comes on the heels of a woman being found buried in the sand near Beach Access 6 in south padre island yesterday.

And on September 29th, the body of a 35-year-old man named Jeremy Tyronne Eyster washed up ashore in a nearby area with gunshot wounds. Although authorities say all three incidents are unrelated, they are all being investigated as homicides.
