Autopsy Ordered for Body Found at SPI

An autopsy has been ordered for the body of a woman found yesterday on the shores of South Padre Island.

The body was found buried in the sand, five miles north of Beach Access 6 at around 1 p.m. Investigators said the body had been at the site for at least a week. As of now, they could not determine a cause of death or the woman’s identity.

The case remains under investigation.

This is the second body found on south padre island in a little over a week. On September 29th, Jeremy Tyronne Eyster, 35 years old, was found shot to death near the same area of yesterday’s discovery. As of now, both incident are unrelated.
