U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder celebrated National Hispanic Heritage month today. Holder told a group at the justice department that he’s happy to highlight and honor Hispanic Americans in the department, as well as the country.
“We can be encouraged by how far our nation has traveled on the road to ensuring opportunity and justice for all its citizens. But we must also recognize that despite the remarkable progress that so many of you have helped to bring about, even today in 2012 there is still important work that remains and it is as urgent as ever before,” said Eric Holder, U.S. Attorney General.
National Hispanic Heritage Month runs until October 15th.
