There will be more eyes in the City of Mission. The police department announced a new surveillance system to help solve crimes.

The cameras will be installed in eight different areas of the city. And will be viewed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is the second phase of the project. The first began two years ago at the city’s parks.

Mission pd officials say the entire project costs nearly $400,000, paid for through government funding from drug seizures.
