Weslaco Homicide Suspect at Large

Authorities are still searching for the suspect in a Weslaco family murder, and believe he may have fled to Mexico.

Investigators say 21-year-old Osiel Alberto Castaneda shot his brother-in-law, 24-year-old Christian Gerardo Landa, multiple times with an AK-47 early Sunday morning, at a residence on the 2300 block of Kerp Street. Landa’s body was found in the middle of the road.
