The other defendant, José Luis ”Comandante Wicho,” Zuniga-Hernandez was allegedly carrying about $20,000 in cash, cocaine, as well as a jewel-encrusted handgun.
Prosecutors in court documents suggest both men worked for the recently arrested Jorge “El Cos” Eduardo Costilla-Sanchez, and were attempting to escape Mexico amid power struggles within the cartel.
