Truck Driver Arrested for Alleged Drug Trafficking

The driver, Fernando Gonzalez Jr., was arrested Friday afternoon on Expressway 83 near Bass Boulevard. Officers initially stopped the big rig for traffic violations, but soon discovered it had been converted into trailer to transport narcotics.
Drugs weren’t found, but K-9′s were able to pick up residue. Gonzalez was arrested and issued a $10,000 bond.
