Arrest Leads to Discovery of Car Theft Ring in Brownsville

Preliminary investigations are leading to believe that this theft ring supplied criminal cells in Mexico with stolen cars. Jose Garcia was found in possession of a Dodge Ram 2003 truck, and a trailer used for the transport of vehicles.
Both items were reported stolen from the City of Pharr.
Authorities say that one of the preferred brands of vehicles targeted by thieves were Dodge vehicles. They have identified dozens of Texas vehicles that were reported stolen and used in violent exchanges of gunfire across the border.
