These recently released images show a theft inside an H-E-B Store in Palmview on August 11th. Without hesitation a woman takes the wallet left behind just moments ago.

Palmview Police Investigator Saul Uvalle said they received a report about the man accidentally leaving his wallet behind at the cash register.

This particular kind of theft has been on the rise lately and can lead to other crimes.

Investigator Uvalle said the police department is looking to close the case and prevent identity theft.

You may also remember that on two separate occasions, the Stripes convenience store by Expressway 83 and Goodwin was robbed within a two-week span. The most recent where the man was covered in female clothing.

“At this point, evidence shows the suspect ran off in the same direction,” said Investigator Uvalle, “Both times he demanded money and cigarettes. That’s another similarity.”

Police also noted both thefts occurred around the same time, between three and four am.

If you have any information, you are asked to contact Palmview Crime Stoppers at 956-584-8477.
