More Cases of West Nile Virus Found in Brownsville

Cases of the West Nile continue to pop up in the Rio Grande Valley. The most recent is in Brownsville, where health officials have confirmed two mosquitoes have the virus.

Health officials say the insects were confirmed with the West Nile Virus a couple weeks ago. According to reports, the mosquitoes came from the Galaxia Subdivision and Southmost area.

Health officials are out patrolling and fumigating the areas highly-populated with mosquitoes. Other mosquitoes are being sent to laboratories in Austin for testing.
