Mission Carjacking Leads to High-Speed Chase and Collision

It all started in this parking lots on the 200 block of Shary Road, when a subject demanded the driver of this vehicle to get out, only to flee at high speed. A police officer spotted the vehicle.
Minutes later, mission police received a call regarding a multi vehicle crash Taylor Road and Nolana, involving the stolen vehicle, a mustang with a family of three, and a trailblazer with an elderly man aboard. The suspect fled on foot with gun in hand.
This woman says she saw it all.
According to authorities the suspects confessed he did it because he thought there were drugs inside the vehicle. This investigation is ongoing.
Police say a maroon Chrysler 300 was seen dropping the suspect off before the carjacking, if you have any information you are asked to call Mission police. The 23-year-old suspect will face a judge orrow.
