Border patrol agents are speaking out, after being the target of gunfire from the Mexican side of the Rio Grande, while on duty last night.
It happened at around 9 p.m. in the City of Hidalgo. Law enforcement say about five to seven people were seen from the border patrol helicopter. Spokesman Enrique Mendiola says the agents did not return fire, and that fortunately nobody was hurt.
Authorities say arrests have been made on the U.S. side, but it’s unclear if they are connected to the shooting.
