McAllen Man Arrested for Transporting Drugs on his Body

Border agents are always on the lookout for drug trafficking. Yesterday, a McAllen man was arrested for transporting over $100,000 worth of narcotics on his own body.

CBP Officers at the Hidalgo International Bridge stopped the 57-year-old man, that was traveling in a taxi with a 6-year-old boy. Upon further inspection they found several pounds of drugs, including methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and ecstasy, strapped to his body. Agents say the street value is about $120,000.

The suspect in now in federal custody. The child was released to Child Protective Services. The minor wasn’t carrying any narcotics.
