The shooting between two brothers in Mercedes on Monday, led Hidalgo County Investigators to dismantle a robbery ring responsible for robberies in Hidalgo and Cameron County.
Enrique Izaguirre Quintanilla, 22-years-old, the same young man who shot his brother 18-year-old Jesus Izaguirre Rico, in the hip. Today, they both went up before a judge, for another case.
They allegedly robbed employees at convenience stores in Weslaco, Mercedes and La Feria within the last 30 days.
Izaguirre Quintanilla received a charge for aggravated robbery and bond of $250,000. This in addition to the charges he already faces for shooting his brother.
Meanwhile, his brother received four charges for aggravated robbery and a bond totaling $1 million.
Freddy Gonzalez Munoz, 21-year-old, Juan Alejandro de Leon Villacana, 18-years-old, also received one charge for aggravated robbery and a $250,000 bond.
Three of the four have confessed their crime.
Authorities are still looking for three weapons involved and expect to arrest three other individuals involved. If you have any information contact the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department.
