Man Arrested following High-Speed Pursuit

A man under arrest today after taking police on a high-speed chase, even driving the wrong way on the expressway.

The suspect allegedly stole a truck from the parking lot of the Wal-Mart on Texas Avenue in Weslaco. When officers spotted the vehicle, the driver sped away toward Donna.

He then got onto the expressway through the exit ramp, heading west on the eastbound lane. The driver crashed into the cement near main street in Donna. He tried to flee on foot but was arrested.
