Sen. Hutchison’s Retirement Ceremony

State Senator Eddie Lucio Jr. hosted the unveiling of the senator’s portrait at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Harlingen this morning.
Since becoming chair of the V.A. appropriations subcommittee in 2005, Hutchinson has increased funding for veterans medical services by nearly 50%.
Senator Hutchison’s portrait will be placed at the U.T. Regional Academic Health Center in Harlingen, since she was also a key player in creating the partnership with the university and the V.A.
