2 Fatal Accidents in less than 24 Hours

In less than 24 hours two people have lost their lives in auobile accidents

The first occurred in a canal between Sioux and El Dora Road. There the body of a man was discovered submerged in water inside his green Dodge pickup truck. The incident occurred minutes after midnight. The victim was identified as 34-year-old Luis Velasquez Junior. The family of Luis made this picture available to FOX 2 News. They said he loved fishing. The funeral services began today.

Later, at 3 a.m. another accident occurred, this one in Donna. The vehicular crash took place off 10 mile line and Victoria Road. The Department of Public Safety said that the man was traveling north lost control of his 1998 Explorer crashed into a tree and then was engulfed in flames. The victim is 24-year-old Francisco Morales. The case is still under investigation. The autopsy reports are underway.
