Cameron County Toll Road Project

SH-550 will run between Expressway 77/83 and state Highway 48. The nearly $100-million project is paid for by the Texas Department of Transportation, with the goal to improve safety, ease the transportation of goods, as well as decrease commute times. Officials say the entire toll road is expected to be complete by early 2014.
