Authorities Respond to Murder-Suicide in Rio Hondo

Authorities say it may be a murder-suicide.
Cameron County Sheriff’s believe the man shot his girlfriend, then turning the gun on himself.
Police were called to the house on the 3300, W. of FM 106, after a 911 call reported the bodies. Investigators believe 40-year-old, José Sánchez shot his girlfriend; 45-year-old, Maricela Galvez Villarreal, due to infidelity.
Three shell casings and a gun were found in the bedroom next to the bodies.
The case remains under investigation.
