A park dedicated to fallen ICE Agent Jaime Zapata has been vandalized. And his statue stolen. Zapata’s death is connected to the failed gun-trafficking Operation “Fast and Furious”. FOX 2 Reporter Cynthia Cano joins us with more.

Authorities are looking for several men who vandalized the park dedicated to fallen ICE Agent Jaime Zapata.

Precinct 1 Constables have identified and issued arrest warrants for the six suspects who vandalized and stole Jaime Zapata’s Memorial Statue in the park located on Highway 48.

Authorities say the cost of the damages is only a little more than $3,000, but say they are upset since this recreational spot was dedicated to Agent Zapata who lost his life in the line of duty.

Some of the residents who frequent this park to fish say it’s not well kept and complain about the amount of trash in the water.

Commissioner Sofia Benavides has ordered the cleanup of this park as well as the installation of surveillance cameras to prevent any more crimes.
