FOX 2 News Cameras are currently at the scene in the Community of Escobares. Authorities say they received a call of two vehicles shooting at each other outside the city limits of Roma, on Lopez and Martinez Streets at around 5 pm.
Our reporter was able to send photos into our newsroom, showing a bullet-ridden vehicle. At least six shots were fired, and remnants of blood were reported in the late-model Chevy Silverado.
But the driver is nowhere to be seen. Witnesses say they saw him flee the area, and believe he may have crossed into Mexico.
The sheriff’s department is working on confirming those witness accounts. As for the other vehicle, at this time investigators don’t have a suspect or vehicle description.
We will stay on top of this, and give you updates as they become available.
