On the salon door located in San Juan off 495, there is a notification that the property must be vacated in 30 days. At first glance it looks like a typical salon, but it’s just a front, behind these doors, several women were detained. One of the employees Nubia Ester Avalos today received a $3,000 bond for prostitution. Several anonymous tips sparked the investigation.
The salon was fully equipped to operate as a full-fledged prostitution business.
All of the women that worked at the salon are undocumented, including the owner Patricia Limón, she turned herself in this afternoon, and received a $2,500 bond for aggravated promotion of prostitution.
There were four women detained working in the salon, they have been all turned over to ice. The Immigration and Cuss Enforcement (ICE) Agency are investigating because there could be tied to human smuggling.
