Minor Faces Judge for Alleged Involvement in ICE Agent Shooting

During today’s hearing, the 16-year-old’s citation was postponed until august 2nd. He will face a 449th District Court Judge for attempted capital murder charges.
On July 3rd, US Immigration and Cuss Enforcement Agent Kelton Harrison was shot and injured in the Hargill area. According to reports, 41-year-old Pedro Alvarado of Hargill, TX was driving a vehicle with his two sons who opened fire on a parked jeep Agent Harrison was in.
Alvarado, his 18-year-old son Arnoldo Alvarado and 16-year-old son, who will be charged as a juvenile, were all detained without bond in regards to the shooting. The father and 18-year-old son already received charges of assault against Agent Harrison and may be sentenced anywhere from 10 years to life in prison.
ICE Agent Harrison has recovered from surgery.
