Former La Joya ISD Employees were prepared for court today in Hidalgo County, following a wrongful termination lawsuit.

The former employees allege they were fired because they didn’t vote for former State Representative Kino Flores, and supported the opposing candidate.

They showed up with “Team Liberty” t-shirts, because they are fighting against what they call are political pressures. The hearing didn’t go forward today, because the judge said there was sufficient evidence to move forward with the lawsuit. The school district was not available for comment. Mr. Flores has said in the past that the allegations are not true.
