Local Agencies Prepare for Weather-Related Disasters

The county civil protection department says their main concern taking weather warnings more seriously. And that agencies throughout the Rio Grande Valley need to work together to prevent major devastation impacting the area.
The meeting stressed the importance of registering by dialing 211, so authorities can have an estimate of the resources that will be required if a mandatory evacuation is needed.
