People of all ages fear visiting the dentist. Now, one piece of technology can help put you at ease. Fox 2 spoke with Dentist Robin Bethell of Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics to learn about pain-free injections.

The solution is a new handheld tool called DentalVibe.

“It was designed at a certain frequency that blocks the pain gate, so not only does it distract your brain from pain, it actually makes it where your brain cannot sense pain at the site,” said Dr. Robin Bethell, Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics.

This award-winning device uses VibraPulse Technology that serves as a distraction so your brain will not experience any pain.

It is based on the “Brain Gate Control Theory of Pain”.

“It sends vibrations sensations to the brain, which closes the pain gate and your brain sense vibrations instead of any shots or pain,” said Dr. Robin Bethell, Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics.

Rodeo Dental uses DentalVibe as another tool to fight dental phobia.

“I only use it when I’m giving shots because that’s the part of the dental experience that’s the hardest part,” said Dr. Robin Bethell, Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics.
