Today, a local company used the afternoon to help feed the mouths of hungry children in the Rio Grande Valley.

Darden Restaurant volunteers were at Food Bank RGV, stuffing over 450 bags to help feed hundreds of kids via “Operation Kid Pack.” The company owns and operates restaurants such as Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, and Red Lobster.

Food Bank RGV says with congress threatening to cut anti-hunger programs, the burden will increasingly fall upon food banks and pantries across the nation. For more information call 956-682-8101.
