Police have identified the man killed in a fire accident after leading officers on a chase last night.

Authorities say 27-year-old, Jorge Aguilar led police on a chase in McAllen, after officers tried to pull him over. He crashed into a fence at an apartment complex on Ware Rd. The car struck a palm tree and a fence before the car burst into flames.

Aguilar died at the scene.

An autopsy is under way and investigators are still trying to determine why he fled from police.
