Border Patrol Agent Accused of Sexually Assaulting a Minor

Foxrio2.com is not responsible for any misunderstanding.A Border Patrol Agent finds himself behind bars after a young girl reported the inappropriate sexual behavior to her mother earlier this week.
Cameron County Sheriff’s Officers arrested 29-year-old Jason Edward Gamboa was arrested at his home in the Summer Hill Subdivision of the Olmito Community.
According to the report, the 9-year-old victim was taken to a hospital after reporting the incident. A medical review revealed necessary information to execute the order of arrest.
“At 4 in the morning, he entered her room and touched her private parts,” said Omar Lucio, Cameron County Sheriff, “He also used her hand to touch his parts.”
Border Patrol spokesperson Rosalinda Huey did not want to comment on camera but did confirm that Agent Gamboa was arrested and being questioned by the Cameron County Sheriff’s Department.
This is the second time in Cameron County where a Border Patrol Agent is investigated for this type of crime.
“Any law enforcement officer, whenever you put on a badge, you are to be held to a higher standard,” said Sheriff Lucio.
The child was taken to “Monica’s and Maggie’s House” for a psychological evaluation, a place designated by the Cameron County Children’s Advocacy Group.
This case is still under investigation by the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office. Fox 2 News will keep you posted as information is revealed.
The Border Patrol has not reported where Agent Gamboa stands within the agency.
