A Chicago man who stabbed his new bride to death this past Friday is believed to be in the valley. Burbank Illinois Police are looking for 30-year-old Arnoldo Jimenez who is believed have fled to the Rio Grande Valley.
According to a federal warrant, his phone was tracked down to the City of Hidalgo last Sunday night. Police back in Illinois found the body of his wife Estrella Carrera in the bath tub on Sunday. She was still wearing the silver dress she wore to her wedding that Friday.
Authorities are saying that they tracked down Jimenez’s phone as he made his way from Illinois to Texas. First in the Chicago area, then again near Memphis, Tennesee; then onto Arkansas and then in Texas.
According to court documents, Jimenez owns property in Texas and his parents live in Mexico.
This black Masserati is the last known vehicle to be driven by Jimenez who is now being tracked down by the FBI.
We spoke with Hidalgo Police Chief Captain Robert Vela earlier and he said his agency was sent a bulletin to be on the look out for Jimenez.
