53 year old arrested for murder after 2 decades

A 53-year old man has been arrested for the murder of a Garceno residents back in 1987.
Starr county sheriff’s deputies along with u.S. Marshals captured Juan Francisco Martinez after being on the run for two decades
He’s accused in the shooting death of Margarito Alaniz jr. Back in April of 1987.
Martinez confesses to fox 2 news cameras that it all started with an argument over who was a better horse trainer
He says at one point he felt offended, and the argument quickly escalated into a scuffle ending in a shooting when Alaniz pulled a rifle —- at that point investigators say Martinez then shot Alaniz at least three times.
The victim’s wife and relatives were present when district judge Alex Gabert set a one million dollar bond on Martinez. They say they feel a sense of relief after the suspect’s arrest.
The Mexican national was arrested thanks to a tip which traced Martinez from Ciudad Victoria, Mexico to the Houston area, and finally to his arrest in Starr county.
