Foxrio2.com is not responsible for any misunderstanding. The Department of Health and Human Services Commissioner held a conference this afternoon with several state senators to address the concerns of independent pharmacy owners. Up to now, at least 12 South Texas pharmacies have closed because they cannot afford to provide their services for the low reimbursement they receive on medications. A solution for the issue could soon be underway. Legislators will try to find a way to increase the dispensive fee independent pharmacies receive so that they can cover their costs and continue in business. They are hopeful this raise can take place before the next legislative session.
